Outrageous! Dodgers’ Disturbing Display Celebrates Anti-Catholic Drag Queens

The attendance at Dodger Stadium when the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were honored seemed to be overwhelmingly made up of reporters rather than fans. Only around 50 fans, some of whom were audibly booing, were present to witness Sister Unity and Sister Dominia receive their Community Heroes Award. Outside the stadium, however, thousands of pro-Catholic demonstrators gathered, even blocking one of the main entrances. The protest received support from non-Catholics as well, with a Jewish rabbi expressing his opposition to any form of anti-religious sentiment.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a self-described “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns,” faced backlash from religious groups, prompting the Dodgers to rescind their invitation. However, the team later reversed its decision and re-invited the drag queen group to participate in the team’s Pride Night. The Dodgers issued a statement apologizing to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the LGBTQ+ community, citing their long-standing relationship with the community as a reason for the change in decision.

Prior to the game, more than 1,000 protesters had gathered outside the stadium to voice their opposition to the team’s decision to honor the anti-Catholic group. The timing of the event was particularly noteworthy, as the Dodgers were hosting their archrival San Francisco Giants, which typically draws a significantly larger crowd. The vast difference between the number of people outside protesting and the fans inside watching the ceremony highlights the intensity of the backlash against the team’s choice to honor the anti-Catholic drag queens.

Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec passionately addressed the crowd, expressing his unwavering support for the faith and vowing to never back down. He rallied the Catholic, Christian, and religious believers in the country, emphasizing that the makeup-wearing individuals claiming to be sisters were engaging in an illusion that contradicted the truth.

The controversy surrounding the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’s recognition at Dodger Stadium underscores the deep divide in public opinion when it comes to issues related to religion, morality, and the LGBTQ+ community. While the Dodgers faced criticism for their decision, they also received support from those who championed inclusivity and diversity. This incident serves as another flashpoint in the ongoing cultural debate surrounding religious values and the acceptance of alternative lifestyles.
