Biden Unleashes Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’ Makeover

The Biden administration’s relentless push to control speech online is a clear threat to our constitutional rights. From failed attempts at setting up a Disinformation Governance Board to the establishment of the Foreign Malign Influence Center, it’s evident that Biden is determined to exert control over Americans.

By allowing government agencies to dictate what constitutes acceptable speech, we risk creating a two-tiered justice system—one for those in power and another for ordinary citizens. This dangerous trend is already manifesting, with the administration turning a blind eye to lawlessness and censorship when it aligns with their agenda.

The suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story and dismissal of the Covid-19 lab leak theory expose the administration’s censorial instincts. Rather than trusting the public to evaluate information independently, they choose to manipulate and bury stories that don’t fit their narrative.

This assault on the First Amendment is fundamentally un-American. We need a government that respects our rights and values our freedoms, instead of imposing control over what we can say or hear.

Thankfully, there are avenues for fighting back. The courts have proven to be a crucial battleground for protecting free speech. Additionally, the free market, with its power of consumer choice, can serve as a regulator, holding businesses accountable for their actions.

Congress also has a role to play. Legislation like the Protecting Free Speech from Government Interference Act and investigations into potential influence peddling are steps in the right direction. We must ensure that government employees understand that political coercion on social media is illegal and that accountability is enforced across the executive branch.

The erosion of public trust in our institutions poses a grave threat to our democracy. Our Founding Fathers envisioned a government that safeguards individual rights, not one that tramples on them. It’s time for our elected officials to reaffirm their commitment to serving the American people and put an end to corruption within our institutions.
