GOP presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley is heading to the southern border. She is the first declared candidate to plan a trip to see firsthand the Biden border crisis. Also on the trip will be Rep. Tony Gonzales, a congressman from Texas who has been working tirelessly on trying to get the Biden administration to take border security seriously. Gonzales represents the San Antonio and Uvalde areas of Texas.
Nikki Haley has gubernatorial experience as well as diplomatic experience to bring to the table when discussing border security. Former governors make good presidents because of the range of experiences they accumulate in that job. In this case, Haley has some suggestions on immigration reform and securing the border, including redirecting money allocated by Biden to hire 87,000 IRS agents. Instead of IRS agents, the money would be used to hire 25,000 additional border agents. That’s a good start. Read more…
